That’s why today I want to show you the best brow mascaras and present my reviews and ratings. I’ve reviewed all the iconic brow mascaras and tested multiple products. I bought a lot of them for the ranking, and I also borrowed some from my friends to see if their brow mascaras worked for me too. I also listened to their opinions and suggestions. You’re probably wondering how I chose the best eyebrow mascara and which criteria I took into account… of course, it’s easy to say: this is the best eyebrow mascara! But you also need to prove why it is so. Which eyebrow mascara is the best and why? Some factors can determine it. There are aspects that you need to be aware of as they can reduce the quality of the product.

What I hate about eyebrow mascara are…
…the thick, tapered, imprecise brush with widely scaped bristles, non-creative under-pigmented shades but also too many shades to choose from as it’s hard to pick the right one. What also drives me crazy is the weird texture that leaves clumps on my eyebrows. Personally, I don’t like fibers in my brow mascara either, because they work well only in the first three or four weeks of using the mascara and then when it starts to dry out, the consistency changes, and the fibers, instead of adding volume to the eyebrows, overburden the brows and generally give them a very unsightly look. A good brow mascara should also be long-wear but I don’t really like waterproof eyebrow mascaras because they are very difficult to wash off from the brows and require rubbing which can unfortunately weaken the eyebrows.

This brow mascara is currently trending and there is no indication this is going to change any time soon. I admit that I haven’t come across such beautiful brown and elegant black shades. And the brilliant, refined brush, which gives me the ultimate precision and full control over my makeup. It styles the brows perfectly and coats them evenly making them more defined and wonderfully shaped! No other brow mascara has given my eyebrows such a beautiful color! There are several shades to choose from and they all look very natural. A big plus for the clump-free formula that builds the volume beautifully and naturally. Nanobrow Shape Mascara is a professional brow mascara at a great price!
2. Benefit Cosmetics Gimme Brow Mascara
Size: 1.5 ml
Eyebrow mascara – review, my rating: 8/10
A recommended brow mascara that once was iconic, released by a renowned brand in the makeup world. It will appeal to owners of sparse brows. Choose between a regular version (at a frighteningly high price) or a mini one at a slightly less frightening price. 😉
The applicator is traditional and doesn’t work very well for me, gives quite a nice effect on others’ eyebrows. It’s a mascara with fibers, which I don’t quite like. It is worth mentioning that this brow mascara gives brows a nice color and also takes care of their hydration and defines them well. It lasts quite well. I give a minus for the brush, which is not precise and the fibers in the eyebrow mascara I’m not keen on.
3. YSL Couture Brow Mascara
Size: 7.7 ml
Eyebrow mascara – review, my rating: 7.5/10
Do you know this brow mascara? Probably yes, because this is a truly legendary brow mascara that gives your eyebrows a beautiful shape and makes your arches full and nicely defined. Overall, this brow mascara combines really good quality with decent efficiency. Unfortunately, its price is a huge downside ;). I understand everything, I know it’s a good eyebrow mascara, but let’s not exaggerate. In my opinion, for this price, you can find better options 🙂 The mascara fixes the brows and enhances their natural color perfectly giving a really nice effect. I used it continuously for about 3 months and noticed that after some time, it can leave unsightly clumps on the brows. The texture changes and deteriorates a bit. At least this was the case with my mascara. In my opinion, this product works better for special occasions rather than for everyday wear.
4. DiorShow On Set Brow Mascara
Size: 5 ml

This is certainly a famous and recommended brow mascara that gave me an amazing voluminous brow effect. A truly great one. I looked a bit out of this world… well, but if you have really micro brows, this eyebrow mascara can be a lifesaver for them. Of course, it does cost a fortune but the effectiveness of the product is undeniable. This eyebrow mascara is long-wear as it can withstand any weather conditions and moisture. In my case, however, this eyebrow mascara does not work as a stand-alone product; it works best as a fixer for other brow-styling cosmetics. Plus for the formula and the lovely shades.
5. Lancome Sourcils Styler Brow Mascara
Size: 6.5 ml
Eyebrow mascara – review, my rating: 6.8/10
This is a recommended eyebrow mascara, which you can buy in tinted and transparent versions. At the same time, the transparent one is not really a mascara anymore. It’s simply a clear brow gel so that’s what you’re looking for… We’re looking at brow mascaras right now, so let’s evaluate the tinted versions of this eyebrow mascara. As far as I’m concerned – it made quite a good impression on me, the shades are nice, and the makeup also looks great, but it’s worse when it comes to durability. After using this mascara, I always have to do touch-ups during the day, and I wonder if my eyebrows still look good all the time. Unfortunately, it’s not a long-wear product and, what’s worth mentioning too, it’s not a cheap brow mascara. However, the wand is quite interesting. It’s very pleasant to use and it styles the brows well!
How to choose the right shade of eyebrow mascara?
You’re probably wondering what shade of eyebrow mascara is best for blondes or brunettes. Is it better to choose a transparent eyebrow mascara or a tinted one? To be honest, there is no one-size-fits-all recipe when it comes to shades. Simply put, when you choose a brow makeup product, take into account the shade and tone of your eyebrows. Eyebrow mascara should have a similar shade to the color of your brows, but of course, it doesn’t have to be identical at all. It is best if it is not too dark, especially if you are blonde or have brown hair. Black eyebrow mascara may be too strong for you, but it will work easily for owners of raven black hair.
How to use eyebrow mascara?
Eyebrow mascara – how to apply this product to get the best effect?
It’s really very easy and fast: you simply brush through your eyebrows using the included brush. The eyebrows should be styled in the outer direction and slightly upward. Eyebrow makeup with mascara gives you the effect of fuller, more defined eyebrows. To make the effect even stronger, you can add more coats of your brow mascara, building up the volume.
