There’s no denying that mascara is an almost indispensable product in my makeup bag. I have always been careful when selecting my mascara. But if I’m honest, somehow I was never fully satisfied with the products I chose. However, I came across some suggestions for mascaras on the net that I thought were worth testing!
What is important to me when choosing a mascara?
Eyelashes are an important part of the face in my opinion. I have always cared for them not only with serums and conditioners but also with the right makeup. When choosing my mascara, I turned my attention mainly to its formula. I didn’t want it to overburden my natural lashes or damage them.
In addition, the durability of the product is also important to me. I work a lot and I don’t have time for constant touch-ups if my makeup gets smudged. That’s why I believe that the best mascara should easily last all day without smudging or crumbling.
Another important aspect for me is the brush. This is probably the most important part of any mascara. It should reach even the finest lashes in the corner of the eye and make the application easy. This always saves me a lot of time.
You must get to know these mascaras better!
I chose 4 different products and tested each of them for several days. I tried to be as objective as possible while preparing this ranking and consider all the important factors to find the best mascara. Check out for yourself which products are worth your attention!
1. Nanolash mascara
At the top of my ranking there is the Nanolash mascara. In fact, the brand offers two versions of this product:
- Nanolash Volume Up Mascara – a thickening mascara;
- Nanolash Length & Curl Mascara – a lengthening and curling mascara.
They differ in the way they work, although in other aspects, they are very similar. The Nanolash mascara features a safe and lightweight formula, which additionally conditions the lashes without overburdening them which is a huge advantage for me.
I must also mention the downright fantastic brush! It is soft, made of silicone, and superbly shaped. It allows you to distribute the product easily, even on lashes that are in the corner of the eye.
I also appreciate the exceptional durability of the product. After a full day, the mascara did not wear off or smudge and it did well on rainy days too. As for me, it is the Nanolash mascara that deserves the first place in my ranking.
2. Lashcode Mascara
The next place goes to Lashcode Mascara. This is a mascara with lengthening and thickening properties. The consistency is quite light, and the mascara dries quickly so you can easily apply a second coat to boost the effect.
The brush is the same as in the mascara from Nanolash, so there is nothing to complain about. It precisely brushes and separates the lashes without any clumps. Lashcode Mascara is long-lasting and does not smudge after a day of wear.
3. Collistar Mascara Art Design
On a slightly lower position, there is I Collistar Mascara Art Design. What can I say about this mascara? It is certainly a product that does a great job of lengthening and thickening the lashes. It is also a relatively long-wear product, although it doesn’t handle moisture very well.
The brush features bristles that are arranged in a three-dimensional cone shape. For me, this is not very beneficial. The widely spaced bristles sometimes made it hard for me to reach short lashes. In my case, this brush was rather inconvenient as it made application difficult for me.
4. Mac Mineralize Multi-Effect Lash
The next place goes to Mac Mineralize Multi-Effect Lash mascara. It is a pretty decent product. I have to admit that the lashes actually looked longer and thicker, but I achieved this effect only after applying a second coat of the product. In the case of the Nanolash mascara, I could already notice a clear difference after the first coat.
The brush didn’t convince me either. It is quite long but the bristles seem too stiff to me. As for the durability of the product, I can say that it lasted a few hours. After that time, unfortunately, the mascara began to smudge.
Summary of my ranking – how can I conclude it?
If I have to sum up my ranking of the best mascaras, then I am happy to say that the Nanolash mascara is the winner. This product met my expectations in 100%. I can’t complain about it in terms of quality and durability.
As for the other products, they certainly stand out too. They are really decent and the performance declared by the manufacturer actually works in reality. Their lower place is only conditioned by the fact that I found some drawbacks in them I did not notice in the mascara from Nanolash.
Ladies, remember that mascara is supposed to meet your needs first and foremost. So choose it with reason to ensure you can achieve the best results!
