How to take some years off? A few good habits to get into

Everyone would like to enjoy having youthful and smooth skin for longer than it’s possible. Sadly, time flies and there’s nothing that we could do to stop this ageing processes that occur in our skin. Luckily, we can minimize their adverse effects. How to do it? Keep reading my post to find out.

Why wrinkles appear?

No matter if we want this or not, wrinkles will appear on our faces sooner or later. But what causes wrinkles? The most typical reasons of fine lines development are:

  • advanced age and menopause,
  • free radicals,
  • vitamin and minerals shortages,
  • alcohol drinking and cigarette smoking,
  • improper skin care,
  • collagen deficiencies,
  • facial expressions,
  • the sun.

Mature skin care tips

In the case of mature skin care tips, I’d advise you to follow the below:

  1. Go for healthy diet. Enrich your daily menu with wholesome products, vegetables, fruit, marine fish, lean white meat, olive oil, dairy products, seeds and nuts.
  2. Drink water. You should drink 1,5 liter of still water a day. Thanks to this, your skin will regain its lost shine, you can expect the wrinkles to reduce in size, and skin will be no longer dehydrated.
  3. Go for a walk and start moving your body. It’s never too late to take up some sport. Divide just 30 minutes a day to physical activity.
  4. Exercise your facial muscles after your morning beauty routine. Stand in front of the mirror and start making various facial expressions to help your muscles work. Blow out the cheeks, grin, tighten neck muscles.
  5. In the evening, massage your face with fingertips or a facial roller. Use your favorite cosmetics that – apart from conditioning – ensure easy glide. What’s important, remember to do the massage starting from the lower face parts and move upwards, for example, from cleavage to neck and from chin to hairline.
